Enjoy the French bakery: Cannelle Patisserie

 

Tucked away in a quiet corner of a small marketplace lies a quaint French bakery. It might look unassuming at first, but the interior speaks for itself. With a warm atmosphere and shelves brimming with delicious pastries that your taste buds will be begging you to try, it would be a mistake to not stop by and check it out.

First Look: Cannelle by Matt Knio, Detroit's New French Patisserie - Eater  Detroit

Cannelle Patisserie has two locations, in Birmingham and Detroit, Michigan. The bakeries were opened and owned by Chef Matt Knio, who graduated from Academie de Versailles in France.

The bakery is known for its signature coffee made by Knio, and also sells pasteries for a price and quality that wouldn’t be found anywhere else. Not only limited to sweet bakery pastries, they also offer macarons, croissants, sandwiches, and much more.

Each pastry is handcrafted with love, made to be accompanied by a steaming cup of coffee. With a high rating of 4.8/5 at both locations from satisfied customers, you can be reassured that the connoisseur within you will be satisfied with your snacking endeavors.

“Incredible pastries and desserts, worth every penny.” Writes, Anthony B, “Will definitely be back.” The desserts range from mouthwateringly sweet to savory, and there’s sure to be something to satisfy your taste buds.

You can find a sanitized dining area inside the shop, and outside on the patio. Customer distancing and seating follow health guidelines. The staff is very friendly and sociable with customers.

Cannelle Patisserie is most busy in the early afternoon and on weekends. They are open 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday and 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on other days of the week. Feel free to drop by Cannelle Patisserie, your taste buds will thank you.
