Day Trips

TreeRunner is a premier aerial challenge forest park in Southeast Michigan. With over 250 suspended challenge obstacles including more than 45~60 zip lines, three difficulty levels, and 14 different aerial trails, there is plenty of fun to be had! Just a short drive from Detroit, Pontiac, and other Southeastern Michigan communities, this place is great fun for friends and family!

IFly provides opportunity to check “skydiving” off of their bucket lists without having to confront a fear of heights, planes, or, you know, falling thousands of feet to their potential death. Upon completion of the flight training, you can dive into iFly’s specially-designed vertical wind tunnel comprised of four fans that optimize air flow for a smooth, and, apparently, very eco-friendly body flight experience.

Kick back and relax when you float down Argo Cascades.

Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., families and friends around Tree Town can now rent tubes from the Argo Park Canoe Livery for two-hour blocks every day.

Featuring a 115-acre outdoor paintball & Airsoft park, this park features 14 fields with a picnic area with covered pavilions. Shoot your friends or family in a little bit of competitive fun with paintballs!

The state is relatively flat with no real mountains or “extreme” landscapes to speak of. But in spite of the flatness, there is an ever-growing community of rock climbers as well as climbing locations, indoors and outdoors, in Michigan. Rock climbing has been moving out of the shadows and into the mainstream in recent years, with climbing videos going viral, professional climbers reaching quasi-celebrity status by ascending the tallest and most difficult walls in the world, and indoor gyms popping up all over. The fringe sport is growing, and Michigan surely isn’t missing out on the action.

Michigan’s Adventure is a 250-acre amusement park in Muskegon County, Michigan, about halfway between Muskegon and Whitehall. Michigan’s Adventure is the largest amusement park in the state and has been owned and operated by Cedar Fair since 2001. As of 2019, Michigan’s Adventure has 52 exhilarating rides, more than any other park in the state.

Michigan has many great farms that offer pick-your-own crops. Start the year off with strawberries, then blueberries and raspberries, and peaches in the summer. In the fall, it’s relatively common to pick apples in September and pumpkins in October. Don’t forget, people can also pick out a fresh Christmas tree to finish out the year in December!
